The one Often referred as the ‘Diamond King,” is renowned worldwide for his gifting to his most efficient diamond artisans, during the festive season of diwali as a long-lasting tradition such as cars, jewelry, and even apartments as bonuses to the talented artisans. But for the first time in all these years, The Diamond Empire has decided to skip these gifts due to the ongoing recession in the diamond industry.
Pintu Dholakia, director of Shree Hari Krishna Exports, explained the decision, stating, “When the industry is going through a tough phase and recession, we can’t encourage our employees with costly gifts while diamond artisans in other companies and units are not receiving Diwali gifts. It is a challenging time for the entire diamond industry.”
